HCARS Est. 1979

HCARS (Hendricks County Amateur Radio Society) is a welcoming family of amateur radio operators dedicated to serving our community—especially during natural disasters and other emergencies.

Many of our members are active in the Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES), Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service (RACES), and the Salvation Army Team Emergency Radio Network (SATERN). The club owns and maintains the 147.015 repeater near Belleville, Indiana, and operates under the call sign N9HC. We are also a proud member of the Indiana Radio Club Council, Inc.

Regular meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at 7:00 PM at the Hendricks County 4-H Fairgrounds in Danville, Indiana.

Everyone is welcome! We look forward to meeting you.
